LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM 

Fall Program rEGISTRATION Open September 1, 2024 through September 30, 2024

The Learn to Skate Program is your first step on your ice skating journey. Learn to Skate is for all kids and adults (ages 3 and up) interested in becoming a figure skater, hockey player, or just want to recreationally skate and have fun. Each session follows the Learn to Skate USA curriculum and run 6 weeks. Skaters are introduced to new skills and evaluated by our coaches in order to advance to the next level.

Skills focused on include:

  • Standing up safely

  • Forward skating

  • Backward skating

  • Stopping

  • Balance of both one and two feet

  • Edges

  • Gain confidence


Lesson: Fridays between 2:30 and 3:45pm (30 min lesson plus 45 min of practice skating)

Schedule: 6-week program starting November 8th (no class on November 29th)

Cost: $85 (includes 4 punch pass admission to any Public Skate session)

If needed, $20 Skate Rental for the duration of the program, to be checked out each session

Option to add $85 Youth Program Discounted Season Pass (ages 5-17 only), which gives you admission to any Public Skate, Freestyle Skate, and Stick and Puck session for the Winter Season. Ages 4 and under qualify for a FREE Child’s Skate Pass, and all OKANOGAN COUNTRY FOURTH GRADERS qualify for a FREE Youth Skate Pass (funded by Community Foundation of North Central Washington grants).

*Every participant is required to have a US Figure Skating Membership. Click here to purchase your membership.


* Scholarships: Please don't let financial considerations prevent participation. Scholarships are available for up to 50% of fees, though we ask that parents please contribute as much as they are able. A second Winter LTS will begin in January, with registration open December 15, 2024

Step 1:

Get a Learn to skate USA membership

Our Learn to Skate program is sanctioned through Learn to Skate USA. All participants must have a Learn to Skate USA before registering for Learn to Skate, for insurance purposes.


 

Step 2:

CREATE ACCOUNT ON EZ FACILITY

We use EZ Facility, a web-based software for program, tournament, and season pass registrations. Get started by creating an account for you and your family:

Step 3:

Register for this program

Login to your EZ FACILITY account, click “Registration” in the menu on the left scroll through the menu of program offerings until you find the program/ tournament/ pass that suits you. Follow the instructions from there!
