PICKLEBALL

Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. The sport takes elements from tennis, ping pong and badminton and uses a wiffle ball and either wooden or composite paddle. Winthrop rink offers drop-in pickleball four days a week, ‘Try Pickleball for Free’ days, and a mixed doubles "League Night". See details for each program below. We have six courts on our concrete slab and six portable nets. We also have paddles that beginners can use for free.
