Winthrop Wolverines

The snowy North Cascade Mountains are home to mighty Wolverines… the Winthrop Wolverines, that is. The Winthrop Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA) has House/C-Level programs for players in the 8U, 10U, 14U, and 18U age groups. Previous hockey experience required.

Cost: $125 - $290 (depending on age group)

Season: 14 Weeks.

Dates: October 30, 2023 - February 12, 2024

Ages: 5 - 18, based on birth year.

HOW TO REGISTER


 

When the snow flies and temperatures plummet, youth hockey teams travel from across the Pacific Northwest to compete at the Great Outdoor Classic at the Winthrop Rink. Games are played on our NHL-sized outdoor, completely uncovered, refrigerated ice rink with spectacular views of the North Cascade Mountains in the background. Submit an application for your chance to be a part of a magical, outdoor tournament experience that your youth hockey players will never forget!

Cost: $1,750 per team

Curious about the game of ice hockey? Maybe you’ve skated a few times, watched an NHL Kraken game or two. Perhaps you’ve hung out in the snow watching one of the Winthrop Wolverines team play. We have a range of programs for you to choose the one that matches your age and skill level.

Cost: $105 per player

Equipment Rental: $95 (half-season)

Practices:

— Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00 - 5:00 PM

Sessions:

— Fall: October 30 - December 18

— Winter: January 1 - February 14

 

Free-play is essential to hockey development. At Stick & Puck, players of all ages and ability can practice their skills, skate around, and just have fun. This is a public skate session for skaters ages 5+.

Cost: $7 per session.
