Freestyle is open to all skaters who have passed through the Basic 4 LTS Certification, or by Instructor Permission.
We offer 2-3 freestyle skating sessions each week for figure skaters. These sessions allow skaters to practice and train advanced skating skills, choreography, jumps, and spin techniques.
In the community spirit of the Winthrop Rink, each freestyle session begins with a 15 minute group warm-up led by our coaching staff, consisting of a combination of stroking and edge work. The remainder of the session is open for individual's to practice independently and/or take private lessons.
