Sneak a peak inside the Winthrop Rink’s Zamboni garage and you’ll see a treasure trove of sports equipment: basketball hoops, soccer nets, hockey goals, pickleball nets, and more. They sit there as if on an island of misfit toys, just waiting for someone to take them out to play. Maybe that’s you?!

Open Court - Community Play.
We’re opening the court the the community - no reservations, no pressure, just space to play. A fexible, shared-use space - great for all ages and skill levels.
Whether you’re shooting hoops, kicking a ball around, playing picklball, or just getting outside and moving, this is your time to enjoy the rink in a relaxed, come-as-you-are setting.
Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
FREE access to the court during Open Court hours
Summer Pass Members: Equipment included
Non-Members: Equipment available to rent for $5
Please Note:
Open Court is only available during the designated hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Use of the court outside of these times is not permitted and will be considered tresspassing, unless you have a rearranged pickleball court rental or private group rental.
Looking for time outside of Open Court hours? The facility is available for pickleball court rentals or private group rentals - perfect for groups, parties, and organized play.
