The Great Outdoors Classic Tournament Series
When the snow flies and temperatures plummet, youth hockey teams travel from across the Pacific Northwest to compete at the Great Outdoor Classic at the Winthrop Rink. Games are played on our NHL-sized outdoor, completely uncovered, refrigerated ice rink with spectacular views of the North Cascade Mountains in the background. Submit an application for your chance to be a part of a magical, outdoor tournament experience that your youth hockey players will never forget!

Details
All House/C teams are welcome to apply for an invitation to play in the Great Outdoors Classic. We do require that teams be actual House/C teams, not a “tournament team” compiled of players from multiple house teams. (A team may request making a player substitute for instances of sickness, injury, or other emergency to a regularly rostered player.) A team’s season roster and win-loss record is due 3 weeks before the start of a tournament. There is a $25 non-refundable application fee.
OUR SELECTION COMMITTEE CONSIDERS THE FOLLOWING WHEN DETERMINING INVITATIONS:
Diverse geographic representation.
Has an applicant played in a GOC before?
Do the coaches, managers, players, and parents have a good track record for sportsmanship, fair play, and appropriate behavior at our facility?
