Public Skate
There's something magical about ice skating outside. You're out in the elements, where you can catch snowflakes on your nose. The crackle of skates cutting across the ice. And the sounds of laughter from friends and families sharing a magical time skating together.
Details
The Winthrop Rink has daily Public Skate sessions for people of all ages and abilities. For first-timers, we have rental skates, helmets, and skate assists available. And when the temperatures make you cold, warm up inside with a cup of hot chocolate and a hot pretzel from our indoor concessions stand.

It gets cold skating outside. Wear warm socks, underlayers, and weather-proof gloves and jackets. We strongly recommend wearing safety helmets. If your head could get cold, wear a snug-fitting hat that'll fit under a helmet. And don't forget socks!
