On Wednesday nights, the Winthrop Rink is home to an athletic spectacle like none other in the Methow Valley. The six teams of the Methow Hockey League take to the ice in their season-long pursuit of the Rufus C. Finch Cup. With nothing short of absolute glory on the line, these beauties play their hearts out for a chance to take Rufus home. Think you have what it takes to play in the Methow Hockey League?
Cost: $255 per player
Season: 15 Weeks + 2 Weeks for Playoffs
Dates: November 1, 2023 - March 8, 2024
Eligibility: Ages 18+ with one year of competitive hockey experience at the Intermediate drop-in level, or higher. (New to the sport? Sign-up for Adult Learn to Play Hockey.)
Part hockey tournament. Part music festival. Part food truck caravan. It’s The Joyful Jamboree and there’s nothing quite like it! This adult hockey tournament was designed to be a bit different. Think dancing teddy bears, steins of beer, and Chicago dogs piled high with toppings. The Joyful Jamboree’s a place to make friends with the other side. In all the ways.
Cost: $1,750 per team
Jamboree C/D: December 8-10, 2023
Jamboree B/C: January 26 - 28, 2024
Curious about the game of ice hockey? Maybe you’ve skated a few times, watched an NHL Kraken game or two. Perhaps you’ve hung out in the snow watching the Methow Hockey League and thought: “This would be a lot more fun on the ice.” Well, you’ve got a fever. And there’s only one thing that can cure you. More ice hockey. Sign up for Learn to Play and we’ll take it from there. (Actually, we won’t. You’re gonna work your keister off while the coaches stand around giving you pointers. It’ll feel like being thrown into the deep end with very friendly sharks who promise not to eat you. Yet.)
Cost: $105 for 7 week session
